What you see here isn’t entirely unexpected. It’s the go-faster version of the already go-faster V8 Range Rover Supercharged Sport. It’s likely to have ‘R-S’ tagged on to the end of Sport, just as partner Jaguar has the XFR-S and XKR-S. The ‘standard’ supercharged 5.0-litre V8 Sport delivers 375kW/625 – the R-S is expected to put out 410kW and around 700Nm. The visual giveaway that the model here is something special, says spy agency Automedia’s photographers, is its bigger air intake up front. That and the exhaust note … listen for yourself. The V8 Supercharged Sport gets from 0-100km/h in a claimed 5.3 seconds. Automedia says an R-S variant should crack the five-second mark.
