The Aston Martin pictured here testing at the Nurburgring is believed to the Vantage GT8, the ultimate version of the V8 Vantage series.
Its 4.7-litre engine is expected to deliver around 335kW, about 15kW more than the current most powerful V8 Vantage but well down on the 420kW generated by the 6.0-litre engine in the ultimate V12 Vantage, the GT12.
The aerodynamic package looks similar to the GT12’s aggressive setup but incorporates several changes, including fewer cooling ducts and a reshaped front splitter, rear wing, and diffuser.
Expect the interior to come stripped out like the GT12’s. But don’t expect too many GT8s – reports says Aston Martin will limit production to 150 units, around 50 more than the GT12.
