The new Porsche Panamera will go on sale in New Zealand early next year. It’s longer, wider and taller than the outgoing car but appears lower because of the reduced height of the roof above the rear doors, says Porsche. First up will be two of the three variants, the 4S and its 2.9-litre twin-turbo engine ($275,300) and the Panamera Turbo and its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 ($346,300). The 4S diesel and its 310kW/850Nm V8 engine ($284,900) will arrive later. What won’t be on the NZ cars, at least initially, is the optional Porsche InnoDrive, an electronic co-pilot of sorts. It uses navigation data and signals from radio and video sensors to set the car up for the road ahead. This is the official Porsche promotional video.
