While Mercedes has released a handful of official “spy-photos” of the upcoming SLC sportscar – previously known as the “baby SLS” – last week, these are now the first real spy-photos, shot at Mercedes’ Nürburgring test basis earlier today.
Reportedly codenamed the C190, the prototype is heavily camouflaged but appears to be heavily influenced by the SLS supercar. Notable styling highlights include a long hood, conventional doors and a sporty rear end with a dual exhaust system.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but previous reports have indicated the model could be powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 that develops approximately 485 hp. There have also been rumours about a range-topping Black Series variant which could produce as much as 585 hp. The sports car is expected to be launched in 2015 and cost roughly 110.000 Euros.
