New-vehicle sales boom – 25 per cent up on 2012
Confidence in the New Zealand economy is on the up, if a 25.7 per cent year-to-date hike in new-vehicle sales is a barometer. Record new-vehicle sales in August bumped the Hyundai Santa Fe out of the top five spot as the race for the best-selling passenger cars of 2013 heated up. Citroen, Kia get five-star safety ticks
The Citroen DS5 liftback and Kia Cerato sedan each scored a maximim five stars in the latest round of ANCAP crash tests. The finding also applies to the Cerato hatchback, which goes on sale in New Zealand later this month. The DS5 scored an overall 35.66 points and the Cerato 35.51 out of the maximum 37.
