New-vehicle sales boom – 25 per cent up on 2012

Confidence in the New Zealand economy is on the up, if a 25.7 per cent year-to-date hike in new-vehicle sales is a barometer. Record new-vehicle sales in August bumped the Hyundai Santa Fe out of the top five spot as the race for the best-selling passenger cars of 2013 heated up.
